    Michael - There's only directional lights in the scene. Materials are quite simple - misss fast skin, mia material for specular, mib_amb_occlusion for occlusion ;)

    Chris - for tentacles there are MEL scripted 'sine deformer and 'twist deformer for each tentacle.
