Inspired by the romantic icons of Deborah Turbeville’s Versailles, Damir Doma summons a languid muse for Autumn Winter 2011-12. With a controlled execution, he weaves a collage of tribal references in sharp, clean lines. Tensions arise between the clinical and the primal. The feminine form reaches from a heavy pointed boot, rising as a sculpture upon a plinth.
