Dance of the Birds..
...or as they are known by the Tai peoples of Northern Thailand/Laos and Burma "Nok Gingala".
This is the real thing....by the locals for the locals.... not some show done for tourists.
The TaiYai peoples share many customs of neighbouring Burma..... their temples and writing styles are similar too.
These teen-aged girls have really practiced this dance well, and been taught well. I have seen this done by younger and older dancers, but without the skill of these two.
They are from Baan Gong Lom, near to the Burmese border and near to Chiang Dao, about 100 Km. North of Chiangmai city.
