light sensitive synthesizer responding to ambient infrared light from the sun. Changes in the intensity of light in the atmosphere at sunset and sunrise cause infrared photosensors in the device to switch on and off for about five minutes. The resulting data stream was sent to a frequency modulated synthesis patch in Max/MSP, which generates sound and a spectral LED visualization: in effect, translating ambient light into ambient sound.
