The distinguished graffitti artist Banksy has set up a most unusual "pet store" in New York's Greenwich Village. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our recent visit to NYC.

If you're in New York, you should visit this store soon as it is only open until October 31st.

Even if you're not a fan of his work, you could still give this clip a "Like" for the sheer quality of my film-making.

Which you have now done. Thanks, you're a good chap.

You got a like for finding this and sharing it to the community.

Why isn't there any scene of you and AA ? Or will we see this in a seperate video? ;)

    Thanks.

I did meet up with Andrea a couple of times, but she was slaving away in the Vimeo office when this was filmed. I have footage of her that may well find its way into a future video.

This is too much for my Midwestern mind to fathom early on Sunday A.M. I need more coffee. Looking forward to Andrea in your future NYC videos : )

We had a great time, thanks. I don't think Alby has ever enjoyed a holiday so much.

Splendid. My fave was the monkey.

Is that because his lifestyle is so similar to yours?

    BRILLIANT.

The image of a monkey watching the more advanced apes (bonobos, in this case) engage in copulation (and being entertained by it) captures the current state of our society and of ourselves perfectly.

    Thanks for sharing this!

He should do this in his home country soon. I'll certainly drop in if he does.

That's great stuff, Steve. Would have loved to have seen this myself. Hadn't seen the salami in the press coverage, that was fun. Loved all the "puzzled people on the pavement" shots.

Just caught a glimpse of half the sign. Did it really say "Pet Shop & Charcoal Grill"?

P.S. Alby is growing up fast, eh?
  • SteveR plus 3 years ago
It did indeed say that. I heard some hilarious comments from puzzled passers-by, all of which happened while my camera was switched off!
  • 40 Watt Films 3 years ago
Darn those cameras! That kind of thing is always happening. The next generation of HD should have a "rewind life" to cope with those moments.

Your page is so pimped lately, with your Vimeo+ and your HD camera.
