Hamill served as the Public Affairs Officer for Project HOPE on the hospital ship USNS Mercy, for Pacific Partnership 2010, in the South China Sea, Vietnam, and Cambodia throughout June 2010. The data and images derive from serving 49,000 impoverished patients in makeshift clinics.
