Jason Hummel is a very talented skier/mountain climber who is equally adept with a camera. He specializes in very serious winter forays into the wildest reaches of Washington's North Cascade Mountains. In 2010 he and a companion made a lightning winter traverse through the rugged Picket Range. This year (2011) he led a party of equally daring climbers with the goal of skiing the NW Buttress of Bonanza - at 9511' the highest non-volcanic peak in Washington and along the way shot some extraordinary photos to document the successful ascent. Jason's account of this trip can be found on his website: cascadecrusades.org/SkiMountaineering/bonanza/nwbuttress2011/nwbuttress2011.htm
