Everybody knows I don't generally do the acoustic guitar guy rocking political jams deal but as a former member of SEIU 660 & the California Association of Psychiatric Technicians & a kid who benefitted from great teachers I wanted to spend tonight saying WE ARE ON YOUR SIDE xo jd

Thank you, John. My goddamn state might be going to hell, but at least the good guys are all on one side.

Best Birthday gift ever! As a 3rd generation union member, it's nice to see artists responding to this travesty.

John: I've been living in Iowa City for a few years now, but my mother is a public school teacher in Wisconsin. It's about a 3 hour trip from IC and I don't own a car, but I've been forcing my friends with cars to drive to Madison as much as possible in the past few weeks. I showed Mom and my three brothers this song this morning before we went to protest. My mom (who has never heard of the mountain goats) clapped her hands as a tear ran down her cheek. We were ready. We ARE ready. On Wisconsin! Thank you so much for your support.
