Wow, I find sound recording live in field so fascinating, show us more please!

I heard they recorded during a military exercise as well recording various sounds from different positions. During some interviews with Dice employees, they mentioned they recorded thousands of audio recordings of various gun sounds which will all be used in-game for the player so that they can get a realistic position/location on where gun fire is coming from. They said that in their latest game, Bad Company 2, there was just a whole mess of sounds mixed in together which was hard to discern where each sound was coming from, Battlefield 3 will have much cleaner, more realistic sound and more accurate sound location.

I'm really excited for this game just because of these little details!

Nice, bcs in BC2 every gun sounds like .22 lr...

Oh i forgot. Soldiers do not wear earplugs so shooting sounds should be a lot louder that it is in BC2.
