For Fall Winter 2011-12, Maria Grazia Chiuri & Pier Paolo Piccioli built upon their solid grounding at Valentino with a technically brilliant collection with an emphasis on bringing quiet luxury to daywear. In a palette that ranged from deep chocolate to dusty pinks, through navy to teal, the house signatures of ruffles and lace were interpreted with artisanal techniques such as felt punching, hand-painting and the introduction of an exclusive feather-printed ponyskin.
