Academic project for the master in videogame programming in the University of Sherbrooke – Campus Ubisoft in a team of 4 members.
This is a racing game, one vs com, the com is handled by a IA. It was programmed in C++, DirectX, TyniXML library to manage xml files and PhysX library for the game physics. My task in this project was design and program the core, the gameplay, infography, 2D animations, graphic design and the IA. I have programmed specific techniques to optimize de application. I programmed an editor to put elements in the race, a heightmap for the terrain, a quadtree to view different levels of the quality of items, and finally a “terrain clipping” that it consist in diferent level of detail of the terrain that it depends on the bus position
