When I was a kid, I always wanted to do some sort of superhero film... last year, on the verge of becoming 27, I realized that in the years to come, that would only become less likely.
Thus, the decision to make a superhero "fanfilm" before it was too late!
The choice for Batman was quite easy... first of all, the budget: A character with no superpowers would better fit my $1000 budget (so naive! he). Second, the genre: If I can be honest, making a Batman video seemed like the perfect excuse to experiment with Film Noir, which is BY FAR one of my favorite visual styles.
Synopsis:
As part of a plot to drive him into exhaustion, Batman is forced by a mysterious foe who calls himself Bane to fight and capture all of his greatest foes from Arkham. Bane's scheme goes even beyond, up to a point in which Batman/Bruce Wayne will have his own personal life affected, as he becomes more vulnerable after his relationship with Selina Kyle (Catwoman) escalates to a completely intimate level, and the villain Victor Zsasz sets to collect on his deadliest toll: Alfred Pennyworth.
Based on the amazing stories "Broken Bat", written by Doug Moench and Chuck Dixon, "Hush", written by Jeph Loeb, and "Victims", written by Shane McCarthy.
