The Power of Partnership is our premier outreach video!
Salmon have inhabited the Columbia River for millennia, but this story begins with the listing of three salmonid species in the Upper Columbia basin under the Endangered Species Act. The video tells the story of how endangered species restrictions began to impinge on local cultural practices. In response, a unique coalition of agencies, entities, tribes, regional governments, non-profit organizations, and private citizens reached across cultural and institutional boundaries to craft a recovery plan for the salmon.
This locally organized, grassroots effort makes a remarkable story, and our efforts are showing some early signs of return on our investment.
The video was produced under contract for the Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board by Wenatchee, WA based Howell at the Moon Productions.
