    Nice !
I already saw those kind of stuff in spectrogram analyser (often used in sonar/acoustics).
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spectrogram
Now you can reverse and take some 3d map and create the music ^_^

cool, it's like a musical brail but in landscape form. the concept reminds me of one of those early music boxes.

Cool! But the idea was already there. (PS3 visualiser)
  • flight404 plus 1 year ago
If you had read my linked blog post, you would see that my first sentence was "Not a new idea here, but it was still fun to make." Still curious though... I have a PS3 and I don't recall seeing a music visualizer option. Id love to see it... is it something I have to download?
  • Robin de Vries 1 year ago
No, just play a song and press the SQUARE button, and it'll change visualiser :)

It currently only has three though, the standard ps3 background, a auto-generated landscape and earth, which is pretty cool.

I have a JS + Flash sound library which also provides the waveform and peak data to JS-land. I don't have any crazy 3D stuff like this going in HTML, but this is a really cool demo.

i am always impressed with the music you use, akufen and the flashbulb :D

I saw Marc Leclair in July in Melbourne, so exciting after listening to his records+mixes for so many years.

i will now also mention your friend Rob Chiu using Hecq, another favourite of mine..such a lovely coincidence.

great producers if you don't already use him you should. I am yet to get his new album but that reminds me i should.. thanks

    Excellent!
Firstly the idea... but how you've done it is PERFECT!
Love the 'island' effect - The fact that you can 'see' and be 'in' the music.
