Ok...content for week 5 of my creativeLIVE.com "intro to Final Cut Pro for HDslr shooters" class...

This week we'll be looking at assembling another quick multicam shoot with Seattle based Actor Erwin Galan and then taking that project into both Soundtrak Pro and Color 1.5 for an introduction to working on developing "grades" and reusable "looks" for our projects...

Exercise also shows how flexible the D7000 files are and how, despite a lot of post and even enlarging some clips up to 160% (see the profile angles), they held up really well and remained crisp.

Once again shot on 3-Nikon D7000's, smallHD Dp6 monitors, Cinevate grip and my trusty Zoom H4N...played with lighting this time using florescent sources that were modified and controlled with switchblade flag systems. pre-synched with Dualeyes and assembled in final cut.

Note: The combination of Nikon D7000's, smallHD Dp6 monitors and cinevate/switchblade grip equipment allowed me to shoot this by myself...no additional crew...just me and the actor...being able to monitor all of the cameras from a central position made this possible...
