When I was a kid, I saw "Eraserhead" and Kurosawa's "Rashomon" on the same day. It was my first look at "non-Hollywood" films. My entire taste shifted from that day forward. I've never looked back.

the radiator lady is epic. watch the pixies do the song live- i think they wrote it and when the guy sings -shouts- it, it's a riot.

It's strange to say this, but I swore I heard this song in a dream before I ever heard it in reality. When I saw Eraserhead for the first time four years ago, it was instantly and hauntingly familiar. I want to say I heard some variation of it drifting to sleep or waking up.
  •
  • Anyone know the name of that song? ;)

But that scene is not in the film! In Eraserhead you see the Lady In the Radiator singing it. Is this an alternative scene? I doubt Mr Lynch will answer here but would be very interesting to know.

Remember after viewing ERASERHEAD at FILMEX (76?77?) & sitting in my theater seat shaking in a searingly deep, curious, fearful and quiet panic. So, refreshing! Gracias, Mr. Lynch.
