REM is short for "Rasterelektronenmikroskop" the German term for scanning electron microscope.
Two of those huge instruments are located at the Heilbronn University, Campus Künzelsau – Reinhold Würth-Hochschule, Germany.

From May 21st on the University will present a number of photographs by this amazing machine. An exhibition produced and created by some of my students.
