A few weeks ago I was asked to volunteer at a checkpoint for the Sleeping Giant Loppet. Volunteers hand out warm beverages and cookies to the athletes as they make their way through the 8, 20, 35, and 50k trails. I thought it was a great opportunity to capture this charity event and show how much fun this sport can be; both on the trails and on the sidelines.

With all the gear it's a challenge to get the cool shot without getting in the way of the skiers. I was doing so well until the end when I decided a slider shot of two skiers from the groove of the classic trail. I forced a classic skier off the trail (oops), but he took it in stride and made for an awesome closing shot.
