I recently worked with United Visual Artists who were commissioned to produce work throughout La Gaîté Lyrique (new cultural centre for digital arts in Paris) for it’s opening week. This was a collaborative project with sound artist Scanner to produce an audio/visual installation in the Chambre Sonore, a small room with multi-channel surround sound, ambient LEDs and floor-based touch sensitive sensors.

Les Fenêtres is based upon writings by the poet Charles Baudelaire (1821-1867) and uses readings of the text sliced and choreographed into a spiraling pattern of words, breaths and spaces in between words.

My role was to create a generative light system (using custom-built software) that responded in real time to the sound, building to a synesthetic peak.
