It has been a great honour to see you live in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and to hear from yourself the experiences you have been through to make, not only this but your other personal projects too... Keep feeding that "creativity beast" inside you please, is wonderful to see an artist´s true passion through his work...Muchas gracias Ryan!!

Thanks Ravi. I'm absolutely loving my time visiting Gran Canaria. Gracias por venir a mis charlas. Aunque es dificil para mi de comunicar en espanol, me encanta hacerlo y me encanta llegar a conocer the gente de Gran Canaria.

How difficult is it to get into your course of animation studies these days? If you teach with the passion that flows from your animation, I imagine there is a mass migration to BYU

Ryan (or anyone who can answer),

You're using a solid black pencil that look really useful. Can you tell me what type of pencil that is so I can get one or something like it?

Also what is the device you are using to show sequences of the animation drawings? Its like a flash interface but on hardware. I'd like to know what it is. (I'm quite certain I can only afford the pencil tho :0) )
  • Raphael Santos 9 months ago
I believe its a wacom cintiq tablet.
  • yeye-o 9 months ago
Thanks Rapheal. I think the pencil/crayon maybe a conte-crayon. Does anything think that's right?

beautiful stuff Ryan, your drawing skills are excellent!

I have a question, it's not alluded to in the film so was wondering, how much, if any, was roto-scoped from the recordings of the dancers? Some of the movement from the dancers in the animation looked to contain so many nuances that I assumed at least some of it was roto-scoped?

Either way, absolutely mind-blowing work, congratulations on making something as awesome as this, I wish I had some of your talent! :)

Hi Ryan. I need to express that you speak in a really incredibly emotional language in this little making of. it really is touching my heart the way you describe this progress of making this unique piece of art come to life. You really achieved to let people feel what they wanna feel. you can read all over the world about. this art connects to the heart of people.

you connect to the heart of people.

it looks to me that you really find a truly way to express what is in yourself. and it paints the picture that i like to look at and get into a relationship with it.

thank you and all the people that helped you to make this happen. thank you all.

Looks like Wacom Cintiq 21 and Flash to me.
  • yeye-o 9 months ago
It looks a bit like a flash timeline, but would he really use flash for a hand-drawn animation?
