Grantmakers for Children, Youth and Families (GCYF) and the Grantmakers Income Security Taskforce (GIST) hosted the 8th Annual Budget and Tax Briefing for Grantmakers on February 22-23, 2011. Participants had the unique opportunity to learn about and discuss the Fiscal Year 2012 budget and tax issues and impact on supports and services for children, youth and families.

This session included a discussion of the continued impact of the recession on state budgets; the consquences of state budget shortfalls and spending cuts for low-income families and children; and the anticipated fallout from ending ARRA fiscal relief.
