Last night's sunset from Point Lobos (San Francisco.) It's another exercise, but I'm moderately happy with it. There are still lots of glaring rookie mistakes. The first cut was stabilized in post, but is still not that stable. Also, the rendering is not good -- the sign is much sharper and clearer in the source video. I don't know what's going on there or how I can fix it. The fifth clip (the sun over the rocks) goes on too long. The footage I wanted to use for juxtaposition was out of focus and useless. Useless, I say! The only thing I did with the color is fix the white balance. It's better than it is straight out of the camera, but it's still just okay. Clearly proper color grading is yet another thing I have to learn how to do.
