This is the pick up end of operations. The bags are roped up, then when he comes into hover, they are hooked up onto the carousel of hooks under the helicopter. He takes the strain (so as not to give a sharp shock to the ropes/bags and cause them to snap) and then flies off.
This heather brash is going onto Bleaklow to help restore the severely degraded blanket bog (an important habitat for birds and other animals, a store and sink of cardon dioxide, and a source of drinking water).
These are the bags that would have been spread using the spreader machine (previous video). But hopefully the spreader will be fixed by tomorrow, so it will be at work at the weekend.
