This is the third and final film I shot and edited from my Chicago trip.
This project follows around abstract expressionist artist Manuel Guerrero Mora as he sketches in one of his favorite cities in the world, Chicago, Illinois. The purpose of the film is to help promote this unique and talented artist in the United States.
Manuel uses these sketches as reference when he goes back to his art studio and puts paint to canvas to create abstract Chicago art.
I mixed shots from the Sony PMW-EX1 with the Letus Extreme 35mm film lens adapter with a PMW-EX3. I really enjoyed using the EX3, it is a great camera. Color grading was done in post with Magic Bullet Looks.

Did you record those "drawing sounds" live or add them in post? If they're live, what did you use?
Also, how much equipment were you lugging around? Did you run into any problems shooting downtown? (from police or security?)
how do you retain such quality while using such a small file size?
