And now for the third and final of our Halloween-inspired shorts is “The Thing at the End of the Hall,” an absurdist anti-horror written and directed by me, Peter Bryan Men. Parts of the score are lifted from The Twilight Zone.

The last of the three segments to be shot, this was written two hours before we commenced. The shoot itself spanned four hours; not terribly long, but because it came after two days of shooting Sean’s and Drew’s segments, we were all creatively exhausted. As I said, the script was written in two hours; from the scenes, to the dialog, to the shots themselves. I think the plotting falls very short, but considering the short production time I'm not altogether disappointed.

Yeah, I didn't much admire the script, but we had to make the Halloween deadline.
