Although I agree with this it is unfortunate that even if we do these things and get more revenue for services we are still only delaying the pain because the current monetary system is based on a mathematical impossibility. Without reforming the control of the creation of money we are in big trouble still. The current system is fuelled by debt which is a crazy and unsustainable way to run things. Even the governor of the bank of england admits it is broken and needs reform. The last time the government had the guts to take back control of the money supply was in 1844. They need to do it again. This is the real reason for the bail outs and why so much tax revenue and other huge parts of the economy are absorbed by propping up a broken banking and monetary system.

It's a good stop gap until real systemic change is made... at least it gets people working together and begin to feel their power again.
