9. Eye Candy HD TimeLapses - TimeLine bonus 1
11 months ago
When sessions with Xavier de Le Rue are over, Guido Perrini keeps his camera switched on and capture the beauty of nature. Enjoy a series of magical mountain timelapses with a delightful tune from DJ Ryzk a.k.a. No-Bless.

Shot mainly on a canon 7d with a pclix intervalometer.

lenses, tokina 11-16 and canon 24-105.
The tracking motion is done using a metal thread connected to a tobin timelapse unit for an old 16mm bolex.

You've got some dead pixels on your arse Aleks... Hehehe. Hot spots on 7D are common, but come off with self clean.

Relaxing, amazing, WoW, eye candy is right... I love it because we take the things that are always around us for granted. i.e. the stars. Thank you for the huge collaboration of these intense yet relaxing time lapses. "Thumbs Up" "Like"

I'm about to do one Guido.... Done much research. How to you power the ladder dolly!
  • TimeLine Film plus 10 months ago
hey nik, it's powered with an old tobin timelapse unit for a bolex camera, rigged with a thread, all a bit homemade but it works OK
  • Wmedia plus 10 months ago
Yes it does work well for you! I've got a dolly made up with the inline skate wheels, some aluminum struts, and it mounts to a ladder. I just need to rig the thing up to slide slowly. I've got a 400:1 gearbox electric motor to drive a long thread, but need to get a looser nut to attach to the carriage....

    Guido,
tokina 11-16... Any comments? Is it 2.8? Looking for faster lense for stars and night TL's.
    Cheers,
    Nic.

the 11-16 is a great lens bit cheaper than the canon i think, but just as good, good luck with the timelapsing

The time lapse is fantastic, and it's beautiful scenery. I don't understand what the tracking adds though. Because they're landscapes, everything is so far away, you don't get any parallax. - So it looks like you've just added a Ken Burns in post.
