and a world famous drunk
The Cornell story is that he was doing a reading and had the audience in his hand when all the whiskey from the frat party came spurting out of his mouth along with the poetry.
He puked all over the manuscript and the audience was aghast.
Dylan just slides his hand across the vomitus pages and commences again the poem.
Within a stanza, the audience is wrapt withal and the vomitting forgotten and forgiven....
(though I hope some English Prof was mopping quietly behind the podium).
They don't make em like Dylan anymore... or when they do, they sing rock and roll, or more likely play drums.
