Clips from Kamakura, Japan taken July 2008.
Kamakura is a mountainous city in Japan by the sea, that hosts over 100 temples and shrines (small and big). It is the City where Nobel prize winner 川端 康成 Kawabata Yasunari (14 June 1899 - 16 April 1972 ) lived (Kawabata was born in Osaka). It is also were the feudal system was first established by Minamoto no Yoritomo, the first shogun of the Kamakura shogunate (1192-1199)
As a city it offers a lot to tourist, artisans, the culturally interested, surfers and historians alike.
Cello played by Yoyo Ma (another genius) ( 'Bach. Prelude cello suite No.1')
Enjoy
