Situated in the beautiful Durham Dales, this re-born heritage line has been mainly run by volunteers. Recently it has made the news because of an American company take over. The new owners have already opened up a further 13 miles of disused track allowing it to link to the main rail network. The film is being released on a promotional dvd.

I shot this over a period of 8 months, visiting the area when work permitted. Shot on a Sony Z1, I had the full and very helpful co-operation of the Weardale Railway staff.

By the way I can throughly recommend visiting the line and a visit to the Signal Box cafe is a must!

    Thank you for your comments.
I agree the video would be better
    with a commentary. Unfortunately
the budget did not allow for this
    extra expense.
