On the 10th anniversary of the passage of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (commonly referred to as the DMCA), Public Knowledge takes a close look at what effect the DMCA has had on innovators, artists and new business models. Part six features Peter Jaszi, Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Clinic at the Washington College of Law at American University. At the time of the DMCA's drafting, Professor Jaszi was involved with a group called the Digital Future Coalition, which made recommendations to the policymakers who were responsible for crafting the DMCA.
