I had the pleasure of being onboard the True North Ultimate Kimberley 1 cruise for 13 days from 12th-25th of March 2011. Going up the West Coast of Australia, from Broome to Wyndham, exploring the most incredible river systems, gorges, islands and waterfalls. A record wet season meant a record amount of water in the rivers and waterfall, everywhere was as lush and tropical as the jungles of Borneo.
As per tradition we the photographers presented a slideshow movie on the last night. This is a slightly extended version of my movie for slideshow night.
Created onboard during the cruise to be ready for the last night (so a bit rushed) and featuring very little narrative and mostly ungraded footage, this is a video, time lapse and still frame collection of my incredible 13 days on True North - northstarcruises.com.au. Still, this video does not even come close to telling how amazing the trip was.
(The part and image about 'parking a tender boat' is from an afternoon where the tide left our fishing tender stranded for 3 hours up a creek while we waited for the tide to return. Kimberley has some of the biggest tides in the world and all that water just disappeared in no time!)
Thanks to my great friend True North Mark - truenorthmark.com and David Bettini - davidbettini.com. A huge thanks to Captain Brad and the always amazing crew of True North.

PS. The somewhat cheeky end title worked a charm.
Captured on Canon 5D Mk II using 50mm f1/2 lens, 17-40 f/4 lens and 24-105 f/4 lens (not a good video lens for landscapes I discovered). Edited in Adobe Premiere CS5. Music by James Horner from Field of Dreams
