Lead by Commander Versteegh, "de Vijf Vingers aan één Hand" (five fingers on a hand) was a formation flying group of the Dutch LVA (Luchtvaartafdeling, or Air Devision, the first Dutch airforce).
Flying their Fokker D.VII biplanes, which originated in WWI, they achieved international fame with their flawless formation flying and daring aerobatics.
Here is a tribute to them, created with the WWI combat flight simulator Rise of Flight, made for the Lowland Tiger Meet.
Please note that this is the first time we flew in formation together as a group, in no way do we come anywhere close to what the real chaps could pull off.
