Finally got the Canon Vixia HG21. Here's some footage on a ride from Fremont to San Francisco, right before going through a tunnel in Oakland. The music is by Foreign Exchange titled Take Off the Blues. The lens is a Canon Wide Converter 0.7x. The window on BART was super dirty, so the crispiness isn't demonstrated here, however I will put up some more test footage soon. Overall, I like the camera lot, with the exception that the data takes forever to move through USB 2. Footage was slightly color corrected in FCP and then exported to 720x480 with h.264 at Max.
