Beautiful shots, and I like the speed variations that are synched to the music!
Was the tilt-shift effect made in post-production?
  • Lam Ho Tak 10 months ago
The tilt-shift effects was done in After Effects :D

How do you do that depth of field... it's almost as if the city looks like a miniature model railway set or something like that - that is amazing!

  • Djani Pehilj 10 months ago
I just had the exact thoughts that Delta just said - It felt like I was watching a miniature model of a city, everything felt.. Small, fragile, and weird.. I loved it, straight into favorites. Amazing work, really.
Gonna wait to see more like this from ya (maybe? :D) !

    Impressive work from a STUDENT!

I wonder how can you do the timelapse (01'37" to 02'03") when the camera is panning? Is it a manual pan?
  • Lam Ho Tak 8 months ago
    Thank you XD

For the panning, it is not manual pan. In fact, I have an electric mount, which can automatically pan in a low speed.

Everything about this is sick, but I was most impressed with the editing using speed and transitions. Nice work.

Wish you were there for the Q&A, it was my favorite of the night, but since not I'll ask now, what Tilt shift lens did you use, or was it done in post. What time intervals did you shoot at? What iso mostly?
