I can't believe, John, that you got me to watch--how can I put this--nothing, for eleven minutes. After about five minutes, without a single vehicle coming in the opposite direction, I said to myself , OK, this isn't Hearst's castle, it's Kafka's Castle, and nobody's coming back--ever--but then after about four minutes, a bus coming in the opposite direction. Hooray! But then I thought, "It's probably empty--going back down for another load of fools to take back." Onward, and finally arrival, with an old couple out for a stroll begun I'd guess a millenium ago: "Look, Henry, visitors--I do hope they won't mind staying. Forever."
