DOCUMENTARY - 25mins
Director - Marta Fernandez

This film explores the lives of a refugee community, the Saharawis, exiled from their homeland 39 years ago and condemned to live in one of the harshest corners of the Algerian desert, where they are waiting for their fate to be decided. The human face of this long struggle for independence is shown through three generations of Saharawis; a mother, who represents the strength and patience of the elder, her oldest son who, although having a strong sense of nationhood, dreams of a better life outside the refugee camps, and her youngest son, who brings hope for the future.
