Surely HD looks much better than SD, I will not upload in SD when my source vid is HD, for my taste SD looks too poor.

... Comparison: For my surprise the HD of the PLUS version does not look even better than the regular HD on Vimeo and the stuttering pp. really sucks.
For me it would be very annoying if I would have paid 60 bucks for the extras and it would look like the same as HD was before the PLUS, means with obviously no visible improvements.
The vid suddenly stops at the end!?
Did you edit it with the Pinnacle 12?

Ok, I have to consider that the xacti optic generally seems to be difficult with any kind of wide angle converter in front of it, the quality always suffers a lot using those.

Anyway a very nice clip again!

Btw manual 1/60 shutter is great for low light shooting, you can push the ISO up to 400 and the image keeps quite steady and is not that grainy.

Hello Jan, I have silly little question(s), I just received my HD2000 and love it! But I think I received a unit that's not quite 100%. I noticed that the HD1010 has a cool blue light ring around the controls ( 1:26, 2:20 in your video) My HD2000 does not light up like that, is it supposed to? Another more serious issue is that I have an occasional sensor flaw (a single vertical noisy line) on the far right of the image that can be "zoomed" away when I zoom in just a little bit. When you use your awesome fisheye, do you need to zoom in a bit to avoid vignetting? If so, I may be able to keep my slightly flawed unit because I plan on mounting a fisheye on it and/or a 35mm adapter. The reason I'm not quick to send it back is because I bought a grey market version and there are questionable return policies on it, but I did save $200, and they are still hard to get here.

lol, I wish I could say never again, but the US market never gets the cool toys till almost a year later at times. Even now, the only way to get this camera here is to go grey, no warranty, I know, its a risk. I contacted the company that I bought it from in Hong Kong and they just told me to send it back, so I'll see how that goes. With the fisheye, I was planning on following your example with a step down ring to 37mm but with a Century .3X MK2, since they are all over Ebay. The blue ring, sorry to see it go, I guess the power is better used in other places. Thanks for all your advice!
