ER Taylor began a Healthy Start Program several years ago. When funding expired, a private funder from a local business stepped in to not only keep the program afloat, but to expand services to children and families. ER Taylor evolved from an underperforming inner city school, to a "blue-ribbon" school, one of two in San Francisco Unified School District, with standardized test scores normally associated with high-income communities.
