The European Association of Urology is a non-profit organisation, which works to advance urology and support medical professionals practising in this field.

In 2010, the EAU organised its 25th Anniversary Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Despite many logistical challenges caused by the volcanic eruption in Iceland, the congress succeeded in offering the best of science and education to thousands of its visitors.
