May 2010; After Effects
For our final assignment in our sophomore computer animation class at University of the Arts, Tim Rauch (rauchbrothers.com) had us adapt an assigned piece of literature into a 30-second animation. I was given "The Nose" by Gogol, which is a very strange story I appreciated very much (h42day.100megsfree5.com/texts/russia/gogol/nose.html). I was determined to have it in Russian so I enlisted the help of a Russian friend/fellow animation student at UArts, Rachel Gitlevich (vimeo.com/rachelgitlevich), who translated my English script into Russian for her father to read.
The music is "Après Moi" by Regina Spektor.
