Based on Hans Christian Anderson's "The Little Match Girl," this 18th century tale tells of a poor peasant-girl who is thrown into the winter streets and forced to sell matches for her drunken abusive father. As night comes she lights a match to stay warm and soon realizes that the small flame has more in store than just it’s warmth.
