The Oz Project, (theozproject.org), is a non-profit organization based in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico that focuses on transforming the perspectives of underprivileged children by providing a trip up in tethered hot air balloons. The charity also helps to fund the Children's Writers workshop held in San Miguel de Allende each year. This video was made from photographs taken by Tim Poly when the Oz Project took up the children of the ejido adjacent to and part of the Lavender Project, (thelavenderproject.com/). The Lavender Project focuses on helping rural Mexican communities focus to more profitable agricultural projects such as growing lavender to supply a growing commercial need. The flight took place in February 2011, with Pilots Sergio Santana and Jay Kimball. The crew was made up of volunteers Heideloh Ziegler, Margo Lane, Lee Gentry, Larkin Forman as well as Oz Project Director Dianna Aston.
