Every few months IcFEM's Dreamland Medical Centre runs an eye surgery camp in partnership with Sabatia Eye Hospital. DMCC carry out many days of eye checkups in rural communities right across Western Kenya. Those screened and in need of treatment usually cataract operations make their way to DMCC hospital for high quality eye surgery at very little cost. ROPE a charity in the UK help subsidise the costs involved making it affordable for the poorest of the poor to receive sight again. In the last camp an old mama even managed to pay for her operation with a chicken!
