I shot this yesterday in my backyard after waiting very patiently for my twoneil adapter to arrive from Canada. Pictures of my HV30 rig are on the side. Most shots (the very close up ones) are done using a 90mm Tamron macro lens, and the others are using a Nikon 50mm 1.8D.
By far the most challenging aspect of the twoneil adapter (and probably adapters in general) is the lack of image stability. Your heartbeat is enough to send jitters through the whole video. I've also noticed in some of the macro shots there is some strange banding. That was there when I shot the video, so it must be a limitation of the focusing screen showing up on extreme closeups - but as you can see, it only shows up on rare occasions (and could probably be rectified through paying more attention).
The best part so far is the instant colour improvement achieved by placing some quality "glass" on the end of your HV30. Twoneils adapter renders amazingly rich and deep hues - and no colour correction has been made to these shots.
Next challenge is to get used to the upside down viewfinder. Hope you like it.
