This footage was successfully used in the funding interview for the Filmbase/RTÉ short film award. We were shortlisted in the May 2007 round for TUFTY.

The script for TUFTY tells the story of teddy bears being hunted in the woods. But the script didn't give any indication of how we were planning on realising the teddy bears.

Our plan was always to use puppets to make the bears feel real.

So before the interview we bought a handful of teddy bears from toy shops and took them out to Phoenix Park to take photos of a "teddy bear in its natural habitat".

We were mostly taking photographs to support our presentation though we also shot some very rough video clips. We played the clip during the interview and judging by the reaction to this nature documentary style footage it was one of the main reasons we secured the funding.
