Life Rolls On made history in 2010 by offering the first-ever skating clinic specifically for people living with paralysis. "They Will Skate Again" was hosted at Venice Skate Park in Venice Beach, CA, as paraplegics and quadriplegics received expert instruction from local skate pros, led by Christiaan Bailey, Aaron Fotheringham and Jim Muir. The program is free to participants and no prior skating experience is required to partake as an adaptive skater. While the program was designed for people living with spinal cord injury, all individuals with mobility issues are welcome to participate - no athlete is turned away.

From chairskating to assisted skateboarding, individuals with varying levels of mobility pushed possibilities by proving that a spinal cord injury can't keep you from shredding at the skate park!

The popularity of the event has quickly grown the program, which will now be known as Life Rolls On's They Will Skate Again SHOE CITY OPEN. Taking place on June 25 at the Venice Skate Park, the They Will Skate Again SHOE CITY OPEN will include an adaptive skating workshop, skate exhibition and an ADAPTIVE skate competition with a prize purse of $10K!

Skaters, skate retailers and media are asked to support this unique event. Together, we can use skate to demonstrate that even if the body is injured, the spirit continues to soar!
