In this sixth episode of Innovate @ Illinois, Andy Singer takes us to the Sixth Annual Innovation Celebration and the Lemelson-MIT Illinois Student Prize to honor all the amazing entrepreneurs and innovations in the Champaign-Urbana community.

Awards are handed out at the Innovation Celebration inn recognition of those individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions, taken risks, and provided leadership to ensure the continuing economic success of Champaign County, the ongoing success of the University's economic development mission, and the growth of entrepreneurial talent and energy in your community

The Lemelson-MIT Illinois Student Prize is awarded on an annual basis to an undergraduate or graduate student who has created or improved a product or process, applied a technology in a new way, redesigned a system, or demonstrated remarkable inventiveness in other ways.

Innovate @ Illinois is a show about entrepreneurship and technology commercialization happening at the University of Illinois. We highlight faculty, staff, and students who are taking their research and innovation to the next step.

The University of Illinois has a strong network of resources and services to support entrepreneurs through programs, education, funding, and technical assistance. Innovate @ Illinois will highlight companies popping up on campus and in the local community, and share their success stories.
