Hiking the Moanalua Saddle to Red Hill Ridge on Oahu, Hawaii on April 3rd, 2011. To get to the Moanalua Valley saddle, we hiked along Kamananui Valley Road and then took the Kulana'ahane state trail to the summit. From there we turned west along the saddle and climbed steeply to intersect the terminus of Red Hill Ridge. We then descended Red Hill Ridge, took a side trail known as Godek-Jaskulski back into Moanalua Valley, and hiked back out on Kamananui Valley Road. The entire loop hike totaled 11 miles and lapsed 8 hours.
