The Casa Vieja is situated in the Venezuelan Andes, at the calm Andean community of Tabay which is less than 11 kilometers away from the vivid city of Mérida. Settled at the enchanting Transandina highway, the most impressive road of the country, the Casa Vieja is directly linked to the Sierra Nevada national park, Páramo and, in broader terms, to the Los Llanos steppe. It is a colonial-styled construction from the 18th century and constitutes one of the oldest buildings of the area. It is a synonym for tranquillity and rest in midst of the nature.

Our guests make daily hikes in the national parks, or to the hot springs on their own around the posada and we organize daily excursions for our guests like hikes, horse-back riding, birdwatching, paragliding and trips to the los Llanos as well as more-day treks to our national parks with excellent Salewa gear.
The rooms of the Casa Vieja are adequate for 2-4 persons and surrounded by a splendid tropical garden. All rooms include bathroom and TV set. We offer excellent breakfasts and refreshments.
